- Prev: teams at $15/hr, New: Team costs $20/hr as of Nov 1, $25 May 1 2025, $30 May 1 2026, $36 May 1 2027. Maintaining target of 70% discount rate
- Please continue to meet with EMS for design reviews prior to submitting work order, can help with scheduling. Contact as far in advance as possible to communicate needs for the term. Ideally one rep to EMS from the team

Two 4th grade classes tour campus per day, many come through SDC - want to get more involved with SDC
Email engoutreach@uwaterloo.ca to discuss opportunities to work togehther
- Bay tour
- Deliver a workshop
- Be a panelist about design teams
Work on your own outreach (ie what UWAFT is doing next Jan)
Any event working with kids (incl high school) MUST contact eng outreach for liability

Course credit for SDC work
- GENE499 - Goal: be able to get course credit for SDC (or other similar) work
- Initial start: GENE415(?) - “student leadership”, list C CSE, reflection on student leadership and project based course - not course on how to do student leadership
- GENE499 - Same idea but as a TE, time and space to meet with class, work on project, reflect on technical contribution to design team, experiential learning. First running W25, open to 4B students, application process

Deans office wants to find better ways to promote teams to first years
- Week of 25th, 30 minutes to go into GENE119 to talk about SDC. No pitching specific teams just pitch SDC as a whole
- Upper years explain to first years the benefits of joining design teams
- Format: Deans office has short slide deck, mostly Q&A with audience. Be interactive you can ask questions to the audience too. Deans office will have some extra content in case audience is not interactive. Want you to share your own experience with 1st years

SDC Teams Census
- University has budget cuts
- Money for SDC (and related) is fixed rn, want census of SDC for requesting more money. Please fill this out to get more money
- Future space expansion, beginning of planning out E8 building

Same issues with shared spaces as last meeting, ensure shared spaces are used temporarily, take everything out nothing can be left there
If not sure how to operate something (vacuum pump……) please ask

Takeaway: throw away everything is maybe not required, other schools do display stuff

Required for any overnight trip, or trip to USA.
Currently must request from Peter, future: user login page on SDC website for forms like this
Must be completed a few weeks before departure for USA/Canada, 6 months prior for international (different form for international, requires a few months for university and insurance risk assessment)

Canada wide event, last few years SDC part of giving Tuesday (~20k last year)
Teams submit proposals for funding from this
Not happening at Waterloo this year
Separate event in ~May, SDC still on list of recipients, bit of a diff form do not count on giving tuesday
