Bill of Materials
General Bill of Materials for this Experiment:
Note: Some of these require quotations and do not have a specific value attached to them. It may require contacting the supplier via phone or email.
Axial Extensometer
Will perform both compression and tension strain measurement. The UTM may have a built in measurement device that will already record these data. Investigate if it is necessary for butt joint testing.

Note: Does not have a price on website and need quotation. If you find a similar tool, add it below and take note.
Digital Caliper
Electronic digital caliper to measure dimensions of specimen will be necessary. Found a longer caliper on amazon that will work well on longer test pieces.
Brand: Neiko 01409A Electronic Digital Caliper.
Price: Approximately $75, prices vary.
Note: Check bay if we already have these, pretty common to I doubt we have to buy.
Adhesive
DP420NS black
A 3M adhesive we will use to attach the two test butt joints together. Below is an image of a 50mL container.
Price: 50mL cartridge is approximately $80 on amazon. They also offer 400mL, 5 gallon containers on their website. Could not find approximate prices for those quantities.

Alignment Jig
Not sure if we have a device that lets us properly place an adhesive onto two pieces and connect them on their faces. Alignment jig is just a special tool to make sure that they are levelled. Personally, I think we can manufacture this jig without buying any materials.
Image below show what jig they used to perform the preparation for butt joint.
