Bill of Materials for Single Lap Shear Bolted
This document will outline a general list of materials to complete this experiment
Universal Testing machine:
Already have within one of our engineering buildings. However, may need to get specific model number to see if parts fit.
Mechanical Fasteners:
Depending on the fasteners plus washers that interior decides, we will update this doc accordingly.
Torque Wrench:
Need to torque the fasteners to a specific value to avoid damaging the specimen. This tool will allow us to adjust and quantify the amount of torque placed on the fastener.

Range: 13.6 - 203.25 N/m
Bearing Strain Indicator:
Depending on what results are needed from our tests we may need a bearing strain indicator. It is able to measure longitudinal hole deformation on either sides of specimen. Bearing strain indicator may be synonymous with a strain gauge. Omega offers multiple strain gauges for different applications. Below is a link to their website and an example of a strain gauge.
Note: Strain gauge may or may not be needed depending what results we are trying to acquire.
Digital Caliper
Electronic digital caliper to measure dimensions of specimen will be necessary. Found a longer caliper on amazon that will work well on longer test pieces.
Brand: Neiko 01409A Electronic Digital Caliper.
Price: Approximately $75, prices vary.
Note: Check bay if we already have these, pretty common so I doubt we have to buy.
Carbon Fiber Twill
1st Company: Noahs Marine
