  • Fx and Fy are first combined into their resultant force using trig to determine the magnitude and angle at which the force acts

    • angle calc’d by arctan(Fy/Fx), magnitude by sqrt(Fx^2+Fy^2)

  • The force applies to both sides of the clevis, as follows

Recommendations

The Shock Clevis has plenty of room to remove material while still being strong enough to support the shocks. I would recommend removing some material from the large section between the pointing points, shown in the image below.
