July 10 - Min

  • sanded 4th side panel to 400 grit

  • primed side panel 2

  • sand side panel 2

  • continue side panel 4 during spare time (for members

side panel 2 has some rough spots, maybe a tad bit of lower-ish grit? like 200-300 for a tiny bit

July 12 - Maciek

  • Sanded 4th and 2nd side panel mold fully

  • Took “measurements” of the back half of the side panel

  • Check up on the two side panels to see if they’re ready (I think they are)

  • Take measurements of the front half

  • There may be a few spots that we missed but overall, they look nice and shiny

July 13 - Aidan

 I touched up any rough areas on the Non-smiley face mold, and polished it down to 1500 so it should be on par with the other molds. Any imperfections left come from bald spots on the mold where mdf is peeking through

  • polishing molds 1 and 2 up to 2000 grit (1hr)

  • material prep with what we have in the bay

 

WE NEED TO FIND SOMEONE TO PICKUP MATERIAL FROM COLD STORAGE!!! THIS IS A BLOCKER

July 17 - Min

Trim the CF

 

July 19 - Maciek

  • Trimmed 1A and E1 for the 0-90 degree layers.

  • Labelled these trimmed layers and bundled them together in the freezer

  • Laid out E1 and A1 -45/45 degree layers and took pictures for trimming

  • Trim the E1 and A1 -45/45 degree layer.

  • Ensure that C1+C2, D1+D2 and D3, B1 (all of these account for 90 degree and 45 degree) don’t need any trimming prior to the layup.

  • Cut out peel ply, vacuum bag, breather cloth.

  • Not as much progress as we wanted, difficult to find everything
