Master Integration and Assembly Plan

Introduction

The resources on this page should help the reader understand:

  • the order that things are installed in

  • what each installation/project is blocked by

  • a general idea of when a project can begin being installed

The general decision-making of integration order will be based on:

  • Convenience of Access - items that, once installed, would prevent access to a large portion of the vehicle will be installed later in the timeline

  • Scale of Project - larger installations should be completed first because it requires more access and intensive installation processes, e.g. welding, that most projects should not be excessively exposed to

This investigation will help members understand:

  • specifically when their project absolutely needs to be completed and ready

  • specifically what their project is blocked by and when their project can be installed

Note: This information does not define timelines, but helps to define feasibility of timelines.

E.g. Integration investigation has found that project X can be installed beginning Fall 2020.
Project X is scheduled as a term goal for Winter 2021.
This discussion concludes that the term goal for Winter 2021 can be feasibly met.
If the term goal could not be met, other projects would have to either try to finish faster or try to accommodate project X to be installed earlier without interfering with other projects.

Approach to Solving

  1. We will be re-using the Chassis Mounting Reservations Resources as much as possible since that previous cross-team effort was able to gather the notes and live testimonies of each sub-team and what would be installed into the car/chassis

    1. This is because we already know what exists inside the chassis from the previous meeting

    2. Confluence Page of referred to Confluence Page: Chassis Mounting Reservations - Mechanical - Confluence (atlassian.net)

  2. First, each member would insert slides into the Chassis Mounting Reservations slide deck if their part has not yet been documented

  3. Secondly, each member would fill out their estimations regarding:

    1. the pre-requisite items that they need for their project to be installed

    2. what circumstances would prevent their project from being installed

  4. After the slides are completed, @Tommy Tran will review the slide deck to provide some feedback or more information regarding the relevant context of each project’s installation information. Hopefully at this point, @Tommy Tran can lay out all the information and be able to deduce the order of integration, and general due dates of each project

  5. @Tommy Tran will send out a revised version of the Chassis Mounting Reservations slide deck and incorporate any feedback from members
