FEA Steps

Step 1:

Take your part, and create a dummy part.

Step 2:

Determine the area where the stress is being applied to the part, and create a split line on the part’s face

Step 3:

Create split lines on the where the part is fastened and the stress “exits”

Step 4:

Go to Simulation → New Study → Static and start your FEA

Step 5:

Add fixtures to the split lines from step 3

Step 6:

Add desired forces to the split lines from step 2

Step 7:

Document final FEA results
