Track width - Stability Research
One of the most important parameters of our car is the track. Track is the distance between the left and right wheels, A smaller track helps with aero body optimization, while a larger track helps with stability. However, to suit our needs, our car should have an optimal track which can pass scrutineering’s 45 degree tilt test.
Tilt test
Create hand calculation and MATLAB calculator to determine the lowest possible track. Take into account frictional force of tires, mass of car, and center of gravity location.
