COVID-19 Specific Templates

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, many businesses and sponsors may be impacted by the effects. We want to be as considerate and respectful for their situations when contacting potential sponsors. The general format of these templates will remain similar to the usual templates, but specific sections will be added.

Templates in this include:

Email Template

Good Morning/Afternoon,

I hope you have been doing well. My name is [name] and I am the Sponsorship Specialist of the University of Waterloo’s Midnight Sun Solar Car Team. 

To provide you with some information about us, we have been designing and building solar cars for the past 33 years and we are one of the largest student teams on the University of Waterloo campus.

We are currently manufacturing our next vehicle, MSXV and would like to know if [Company Name] would be interested in assisting us with our project through a sponsorship OR providing us with [Material Name] OR manufacturing [component name].
We are currently looking for [more details on what we want from the company here] .

I have attached our sponsorship package to help you get familiar with the team as well as the perks you get for assisting us! I also attached the drawings for the [component name] in the email.

We understand that many businesses have been impacted by COVID-19, and in light of this, we understand if [Company Name] would prefer to postpone this discussion for a more advantageous time.
