Midnight Sun Business Team Fall 2016

Goals Fall 2016 

  • Maintain a good relationship with Midnight Sun XI sponsors through newsletters with updated progress of Midnight Sun team 
  • Reconnect with Kitchener-Waterloo Community and rebuild Midnight Sun team's reputation through community outreach 
  • Refine our marketing strategy of social media and marketing (rebranding) 
  • Redefine our sponsorship strategy and train current business members for future sponsorship opportunities 
  • Develop a versatile, inclusive and supportive off-stream business team 

Team Structure 

  • Treasurer 
    • Ensure that the bank account and all financial transactions for the team are monitored and verified;
    • Ensure that all the funds are collected, deposited into the Midnight Sun team bank account, and reconciled correctly and within a timely manner;
    • Ensure that all the reimbursement forms are submitted correctly and in a timely manner
  • Event Team 
    • SSDC Open House (Oct 1: 9:00am - 3:00pm)
    • Sustainable Energy Competition/Workshops/Seminars (potential collaboration with Canadian solar car teams)
  • Community Outreach Team 
    • Search for potential community outreach opportunities 
    • coordinate with event team to create opportunities for local community to learn more about sustainable energy (bring in elementary school & high school students) 
    • coordinate with MK team to rebuild a positive community image 
  • Sponsorship Team 
    • Newsletter for sponsors 
    • Seminar: Sponsorship 101 
    • Training for professional communication skills  
    • redefine sponsorship strategy 
    • list of potential sponsors for MSXII 
    • redevelop sponsorship materials
