Dashboard Design Parameters

The following items are REQUIRED to be included in the MSXV dashboard design (from a centre-console hardware point of view). This page should be updated as changes or decisions are made.

Let me (@Jonathan Xie) know if I missed anything or you’d recommend alternatives.

LED Displays

The following 7-segment displays should all be located next to each other, preferably stacked one on top of the other, from top to bottom order based on the order presented in the table:

Buttons

The following buttons from the old MSXIV are available to re-use (there are 8 in total, but we only need 6 for MSXV).

Each button comes with its own backlit LED (white) that will turn on to indicate its functionality state.

Additional LED Indicators:

The following indicators do not require buttons on the dashboard itself to activate, as they will be controlled by the steering stock or battery detection system. However, a light-up indicator (LED + frosted translucent material in an appropriate symbol/shape) will need to be displayed on the dashboard.
