Telemetry Use Case
Firmware is in charge of making sure that the communications are happening (going through the CAN network)
During the race, useful in determining that the car is functional
Hardware usages
Hardware WILL be using the telemetry dashboard - primary users of the dashboard
Card sorting notes
All of the faults could be presented as an alert badge - separate them into their own category
Power-on sequence success - alert
Auxiliary
Aux success comes from turning on main and then aux would as well
Important to constantly monitor the aux and DCDC main battery supply
Adding this to power select status
Jumpstart cell on power select - which they will hopefully be getting rid of
Drive output from centre console - RACE/NEUTRAL SWITCH
Center console is the board that changes all the drive states (other buttons as well)
Guessing that the change in states is done through this?
A switch telling us to turn off non-essential power consuming devices (e.g. infotainment)
Says that rear current measurement (battery) does not make sense
Keep speed and the currently set cruise control speed target beside each other
SUPPLEMENTAL PACK VOLTAGE - sensing the current
Left right motor status is important for indicating that there are no faults in the motors
Faults are what they need to check for when scrutineering. Know about the fault explicitly (will completely stop the car)
Card sorting part 2
Driving information
State of the car dynamically
Faults
All the important faults
Power data
Reading the currents and measurements, voltages, temperature
Solar data, motor controller information, current
Measurements taken that aren’t through the battery but will impact the performance of specific systems within the car
Main battery
Battery temperatures, voltages, fan states, etc.
Biggest safety concern so this is important
Important statuses
Good to keep an eye on but not critical
Driver Control Statuses
Nice to know, does not really represent the current state of the car
Looking at the MSXII
Being able to pinpoint the battery packs on the graphs would be helpful
For the solar data, they mainly care abt the outliers (things that are less efficient, etc.)
For graphs, make sure the directionality is very clear in terms of input or output voltage
Range of the vehicle is an onboard calculation
Range based on the state of charge of the vehicle
Maybe include this feature
Will be shown on driver display but will be nice to have on telemetry
