Innoswitch Pin Descriptions

Isense (IS)

• Set external current sense resistor between this and ground

• Connected to return path of power supply

Feedback (FB)

• Connect external resistor divider network

Secondary bypass (BPS)

• Connect external bypass cap

Synchronous Rectifier Drive (SR)

• Gate driver for external FET

Vout

• Connect to regulated 12V output to power the chip

Forward

• Connect to the switching node of the transformer output winding (before the FET)

UV/OV (V)

• Connect to HV input to detect over/under voltage

Primary bypass (BPP)

• Connect external bypass cap (powered by internal regulator to Vbpp shunted at 5.36V)

• ILIM selection pin (ILIM or ILIM+1) we use a 4.7uF cap for the larger ILIM

• Connect to BP1 pin of clampzero

• OV protection with 11V zener, if pin draws >7.5mA device will latch off and attempt a restart

HSD

• High-side drive signal for active clamp

• Connect to IN pin of clampzero

• Set a preprogrammed delay using an external resistor

Source (S)

• Source connection for power switch (GND reference)

Drain (D)

• Drain connection for power switch
