Input Terminals

As with all projects, molex microfit will be used for the HV connector input. Molex micro-fit is 250V 5.5A tolerant, which is sufficient for PCS’s max voltage and current of 153V and 3.3A. As such, a 2-pin connector is suitable.

Inrush Current Limiting

The circuitry from MSXV_DCDC_Rev2 is shown below:

The gate of the n-fet is controlled by the slow charging of C1. However, this means that the current limiting is solely reliant on the resistance of the N-mos, which can be quite imprecise. Instead, another circuit was designed, where an RC-controlled FET is placed in parallel with a current-limiting resistor

Input Capacitance

Idk 220uF is probably enough, and then add 1uF and 0.1uF for decoupling
