A few tasks are left to finish off the steering system:
- Create a parts finalized version of all of the parts
- Shrink tie rod slightly for adjustability
- Tear out checks for clevises
- Check tolerances
- Steering stops
- Try to get a smaller rod end for 40 degrees of rotation (We need 38 degrees as it stands)
- Create drawings for all of the parts
Sunday we should have all of this ready.
Steering Arm Design Notes:
- The mounting face on the upright has a slight angle wrt the side plane; it is rotated about the y axis. The steering arm face that is in contact with the upright has the same angle to accommodate for this.
- The fillet sizes are arbitrary
