Overall

  • Power train should be complete before November for rolling chassis

    • Power distribution

        • Rev 2.1 has been brought up, further testing has to be done on resistance losses
        • Testing should be done by beginning of September, 2017

        • In progress, everything other than CAN/relays are complete. 
        • Complete by end of September, 2017
    • BMS AFE
      • Hardware (Kevin Chen (Unlicensed))
        • A few issues have to be fixed with rev 2
        • Should be done by end of September if possible
    • BMS Carrier
    • Driver Controls

        • Boards will be brought up before September and tested
        • Steering wheel board should be defined by end of September.

        • I2C slaves have to be integrated, CAN has to be programmed

        • Connect SD card, XBee, GPS, Controller Board together (No PCB required for testing)

  • Lights
    • Hardware (New Member)
      • Order all the lights and characterize them for power consumption
      • Find appropriate LED drivers and design a PCB

  • Driver display
    • Hardware (New Member) 
      • Powers the Raspberry Pi (+5V), and Display (+12V)
      • Passes signals from the Controller board to the Pi
      • Controls display settings by using the button IOs

  • Telemetry

  • Aux BMS

      • Actively protects the Aux battery from OV/UV conditions
  • DCDC Board

      • Ideally complete before November, if not then we will have to use a lead acid battery for rolling chassis
  • Solar Master
    • Hardware (Taiping Li, New Member)
      • Talks to the solar salves via I2C
      • Controls solar relay
      • Complete by end of the term

  • Solar Slave
    • Hardware
      • Collects voltage, current, temperature from the MPPT
      • Sends data over I2C
