Discussion items

TimeItemWhoNotes
5minSunstone Call
  • Tony our contact did not pick up - therefore spot welder is a no go
  • Supply Nickel tabs that fit our required dimensions
10min  Compression Pack Update
  • The compression pack manufacturing technique turned out to messy
  • Low trust in the compression pack
  • Attempted to modify the compression pack to reduce the flexing
  • Led to huge assembly problems and pains of manufacturing
30minSpot Welded Module Update
  • Use insulated fiber glass tubes to link multiple modules together
  • Same Module size/layout
  • 8 modules in a string, 4 tubes run full length of the 8 modules
  • 3 Copper bus bars running in between each of the 3 rows of a module
  • Side bus bar to the top off the module
  • Ventilation in parallel with the cells
  • Copper bus bars to connect strings together
10minTesting Methodology
  • Use salt water load, and measure current, voltage and temperature of the module to understand the capacity.
  • Create a vibe table and test the weld durability of the module

Action items

  • Taiping LiGet a spot welder
