Talked about rack placement and rack extension design (rack position in the x-y plane will be driven by the optimal tierod pivot point. Position along the z axis will be driven by steering arm length
Steering column must be colapsible and it would be nice if it could tilt. A telescoping steering wheel will not be required
Reviewd dimension reference sketch
Action items
Brakes
Source parking brake & have it modeled in CAD. Then hand off to suspension so that the mounting points can be design into the upright
Source brake bobbins
Come up with a solution to the rotor thickness issue (manufacture thicker rotor, source different caliper, contact Willwood to ask about risks of using a thinner rotor
Steering
Compile and document Robin's work on steering geometry from last term (bump steer optimization and steering arm length). Document on confluence and in MS-XXXXX-Dimension reference as necessary
Design rack extension and how it's coning to mount to chassis
Design rack mounting fixture
(Long term action item: design steering column and source steering wheel)
