Introduction

Below circled in red are the 2 doors to MSXIV. There are also two on the other side. Doors provide structural integrity to the whole assembly and thus must be tested to make sure that it reaches the standards we set for it to achieve.

Tests to be used

We will use the above diagram from ASC regulations to determine which tests to use. From the diagram, we can see that the doors could experience an impact from the side, from the top, and from the front. We will utilize the three-point bend test, tensile and shear strength tests.

The testing standards to be used are listed below:
