Summary
Bill wasn't impressed with us, since we waited in the RV park for about an hour and a half so that we could get enough people to unload the car from the trailer. He also had to sleep in the single-person tent that Chloe slept in, which she urinated in.
It was also during dinner at the stage stop, that we realized that our team was solely lacking in strategy. As a result, a few people on the team went to scout the route for the next day, and then headed straight to the Team Meeting (because we had missed the previous one, which had a route update).
The actual race day itself was pretty uneventful. I think this was the "Big Climb"? If so, we picked up a 1 minute penalty when we stopped on the side of the road because we had to do a hill start and had to push the car for < 45 seconds. Apparently, according to one of our later observers, one of the teams was considering just picking up 1 minute penalties and pushing their car all the way up the hill in 45 second bursts, since they weren't sure they would be able to make it up.
