Track day 3 is estimated for the June 23. This will be our last day of testing and MSXII should be in competition shape by this time. This is the hard deadline, everything must be done for this day.

  • Install dashboard
  • Install EV port charger (will involve removing right aero panel)
  • Replace nylon insert nuts connecting aerobody with fujilock nuts
  • Install charger enclosure (Eric/Catherine)
  • Finish and install parking brake (Shi Jing)
  • 3D print c-clamps for attaching internal carbon fibre panels (Catherine)
  • Finish wire system to hold down trunk (Sheila)
  • Obtain jack (Michael)
  • Obtain nylon shear pin (Michael)
  • 3D print magnet housing for fairing (Michael)
  • Create locking trunk props (Emily)
  • Remove right motor from MSXII (Michael)
  • Debug motor for issues (Shalin)
  • Polish windshield and apply both cleaner and RainX

We did hit a bit of a snag with two of our motors going out of commission. During track day, one of the motors crapped out and we replaced the third motor hall sensors before putting that motor back on the car. Unfortunately, that died too so we're down to one motor. Motors are pretty critical for comp. So that has to be done asap.

Approximate schedule:

Friday June 14th: Right motor to be removed, McMaster-Carr order comes in

Saturday June 15th: Motor debugging and fixing

Sunday June 16th:

Monday June 17th: Shear pin created, removal of right aero panel

Tuesday June 18th: Installation of EV port

Wednesday June 19th:

Thursday June 20th:

Friday June 21st:

Saturday June 22nd: Finalizing and review of vehicle for competition, mock scrutineering

Sunday June 23rd: Track day

I know midterms are happening and there will be fewer people around, but if you have a break or something please try to complete the listed tasks. I will be absent on the 14th and 15th but will be back for the rest of the time leading up to competition. Let me know if you have any questions.
