They have an insane amount of temperature sensors for their battery pack (2 for each cell) which is absolutely obscene.
They also build their own battery box, which is positioned in their catamaran, which apparently allows them to adjust the weight distribution by up to 5%.

Motors
One interesting thing is that they design their own motors and motor controllers, which allows them to have no high voltage in their car.
They built a brushless DC motor out of composite materials, which are direct drive to the wheel and mechanical brake. They use two motors mounted to the rear wheels.
