Regulator and Connector Test Board

Purpose

• Test out different switching regulators, determine efficiency, voltage ripple, decoupling capacitance
• Test out different wire-to-board headers for current capacity and repeated use
• Test different board-to-board headers for current capacity and repeated use
• Test quality of silkscreen, solder mask, current capacity of traces

Results

• Switching regulators were tested from 10mA to 1A, up to 700mVpp ripple was observed compared to up to 500mVpp ripple from LDOs on MSXI (Measurement tools may have some errors)
