Meet the Team

Profile photo for Adrian

Technical Lead - Adrian

I was born and raised in the town of Brockville, ON about an hour east of Kingston, ON. I have a younger brother who is in his 3rd year of Commerce at Queens and my parents are both family doctors. I grew up speaking only English so I'm way more fluent in French than Cantonese. Heck, my Spanish and German (which I only picked up from travelling) is even better than my Canto.

I just finished my 3B term in Mech. Eng. and am currently on a co-op term in Waterloo (not actually working atm). I've been on the team since 2017 where I did a lot of work with composites and the aerobody for MSXII. I'm interested in industrial design and product design and have done my last few co-ops at Ecobee, North, and ATS. My dream job would be running my own start-up where I get to tackle important global problems by applying my engineering and design skills. I love a well-brewed cup of coffee, working with my hands, and watching the latest This Old Tony video.

PM - Kristen

I'm one of 2 Shio's you'll find on Midnight Sun! I have an older brother who's on the team as a Solar lead and he has just graduated from Systems Design Engineering (SYDE). Funny enough, I'm also in SYDE and will be going into my 2B term in the Fall. I am currently on my co-op term as a UI/UX Designer at TD Labs based in Kitchener, ON. I previously interned at Connected and Manulife as a QA Automation Developer and UX Designer & Developer respectively.

I started out on Midnight Sun as a Business member back in the Fall of 2018. I helped out a bit with Interiors the following 2 terms where we worked on a wooden mockup of MSXIV. I'm also the Business team lead for the Spring term!

If I have free time, you'll find me doing origami and kirigami! I like doing a lot of DIY and paper crafts!
