This outlines design changes to the newest version of PD that will be identical in the rear and front enclosure.

Additions/mods

  • Change barrier term to power term

  • Add GPIO out for Horn Low side FET control

  • Change silk to match for front/rear

  • Add fan control for DCDC and rear enclosure fans

  • add power rail (maybe) for fan on center console

  • make sure we have spare outputs

  • Add ADT7476A to both power and get all fan tachometer readings

  • Pin identification with LED indication for front/rear (also updated silk)

  • shorted pin or FW feedback for which board is which (similar to solar sense)

  • Update to all microfits kinked pins

  • have thermistor/pot input for rear/front for similar input resistance for fan control (talk to Adrian Au about placement)

  • Rear power has 3 fans (use ADT7476A) and 1 fan for DCDC (same IC)

  • Raspberry pi will read from SoC temp sense and control PWM to noctua fan → fan will be powered through center console

  • how many fans should front power control for ventilation? Adrian Au

    • 4 fans - 2 on driver side and 2 on passenger side ← both have different speed control

    • volume like switch where you turn past a point to turn on then have intensity control

    • use rotary pot with spst switch such as following: P162G100QRC30B103

  • Josh Rong add other changes you have noted from before here

  • Add thermal relief to component connected to the large polygon pour to help with soldering.

  • Make sure to calculate the energy stored in the horn’s inductor and that the Load Switches can handle it - add a flyback diode if not.

  • need a 5V out for all the cameras

  • Switch I2C pins on IOExpander
