Problem

Problem Statement

With the Fall 2020 term online, we’ll need to take full advantage of recruiting through social media and other virtual channels.

Hypothesis

Reducing the number of pages and revisiting the UI/UX of our site will lessen the chances of confusion of our visitors.

Background

What to Emphasize

  • No applications required

  • You don’t have to be a mechanical or electrical engineer to be with us

  • You’ll get to build something super cool!

Measures of Success

200+ attendees to our first general meeting, with 80% having heard about the meeting from social media posts (smile) (add this as a question to our registration form)

Scope

Must have

  • Infographic for email recruitment that explains what the team does, what work is available, when our first meeting is, etc.

  • Countdown posters x 5 (1 for each of the 5 days leading up to our first meeting)

    • quotes from regular members?

Nice to have

  • Blog - collection of first year experiences

  • use a kickstarter video?

  • Quiz to help students pick a subteam? You know those buzzfeed things or whatnot? idk lol
