Wanted to add this here to keep a record of what be have talked about for DC-DC changes before everything on slack disappears.

  • Change input/output connectors to barrier blocks (instead of Ultra-fit and wurth terminals)

  • Change the DC-DC temp connector to micro-fit.

  • See the note in the bottom right - when charging the cap, we have a ground loop - this should be fixed. Either remove the capacitor and put it on Power Distribution instead, or run a GND wire from power distribution to this board as well and connect the capacitor to that.

  • Is the 8A Fuse for inrush, since we only have a 2.4A max (as you noted on the schematic). It would also be good to switch the fuse to one like the style on the precharge board, or make sure that a cover gets made for it - so there is no exposed high voltage.

  • I'm still surprised we need the 2000uF of capacitance. This is 6x the capacitance of the motor controllers. Were there any hints in the datasheet about reducing this?

  • Would it be easier to calculate or measure the max inrush current? Make sure that the ICL or a similar precharge / Inrush current limiting circuit is implemented on the next rev.
