This clevis is used at different nodes, similar to the bearing housing cap
Front and Rear UCA
Front and Rear LCA
The greatest resultant force (Fr) at any of those nodes will be used to test that case
The force is applied on the inner portion of the clevis on the face corresponding to the direction of that force
Case | Max Fr Magnitude | Corresponding Fr Angle (direction) | Fz |
---|
1 | 2998.354 | 5.567396 (+x, +y) | 46.68294 |
2 | 2895.989 | 1.998102(+x, +y) | 451.2532 |
3 | 5860.942 | 1.146276(+x, +y) | 422.6246 |
4 | 3659.031 | 1.998102(+x, +y) | 490.0617 |
5 | 7548.976 | 1.115539(+x, +y) | 652.2919 |
Special Cases(where the max Fz doesn't occur where max Fr does)
Case | Max Fr Magnitude | Corresponding Fr Angle | Fz |

Recommendations
Improvements can be made to the sim, i think i should have a virtual wall fixture where the bolt head would be, that would probably improve the accuracy. Anytime a stress goes over 10^8 in the sim i dont really trust it. The virtual wall on the back of the part isnt really doing anything except in the special cases.
I also guessed the size of the Fz contact area, but will redo once i have confirmation or a better estimate. -MP
