Ron Tsang | Lightweight chassis (does not conform completely to aerobody). Composed of just a chassis floor with a roll cage (just thick enough to mount suspensions and steering). This would also keep our center of gravity very low, which is good for dynamics. The aerobody should be structural enough to support itself. If not thin extension members can be implemented from the chassis to help support the aerobody. No reason for the chassis to be as large as the aerobody. Imagine the Tesla bottom chassis but with a roll cage. | |
