  •  Just a few things to follow when making graphics for various occasions

  • Are there certain occasions we can break these guidelines? (i.e. our BLM and Pride posts)

  • Think of this like the guidelines on the brand book

Topic (i.e. colour, layout, etc.)

Guideline

When to break consistency:

Consistency can be broken for:

  • important events or acknowledgments (ex. BLM)

  • posts that we want to stand out on our feed

  • things that don’t fit in with our regular contentpotentially make 1 in every 5 posts (or some other ratio) stand-out posts?

Feed layout / appearance

  • Ensure that all important graphic elements (text, logos, and preferably anything that’s not a background) fit in the inner square of the post. When someone views our profile, all post previews are in a square shape, so we don’t want things to get cut off.

  • Have some posts flow into the ones beside them?eachother

    • Especially if they are of similar content (i.e. Crowdfunding videos)

Colour

Try to stick with the colour scheme in our Brand Book for backgrounds, text, icons, etccolours.

  • All posts following these guidelines should have a midsun blue background/border of some sorts or midsun blue tint over photos

    • Must try to incorporate our oranges as well as white

Writing style & typography

  • Try to use
    • when possible

Typography

  • Use our typography (Roboto font).

    • Bebas Neue for large/standout text

  • Use casual language so that our posts can be quickly and easily understood (but always ensure proper grammar)

  • Less is more when it comes to the number of words in a social media post
