👪 Who we are
Formerly known as the ‘Displays’ team, the user experience design (aka UXD) team is a small team under the Strategy subteam that focuses on user research, UI/UX design and usability testing! The team currently consists of about 3 people:

🥅 Our goal
To create user-friendly experiences both inside and outside of the vehicle, which will enable our team members to perform at their best and/or remain informed.
💼 What we do
Up until S2021, we have primarily spent our time working on the Driver Display project and tried designing our Infotainment system, which unfortunately dropped due to the limited development options behind Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
Here’s an overview of our current projects + what we have in store for you this term:
Driver Display
shows information about the car that is most relevant the driver while the car is in motion.

Telemetry Dashboard
Provides individuals in a chase car with real-time data that will help monitor the performance of the solar car. This will allow team members to adjust our race strategy accordingly.

Team Website
Our primary outreach platform to convert visitors into sponsors or team members. We plan to revisit the design and switch platforms in time for the unveiling of MS XIV.

Finance Budget Reports
Finance budget reports are currently presented to the leads in a slide deck every term. We are looking to investigate if there may be another solution to keep leads informed of their subteam budgets and spending capabilities.

Figma | We have a team in Figma and in order to join, you will need an Educational Plan account. All of our designing and prototyping is done in this app! |
