This page provides step-by-step tutorials on how to assemble the catamaran cover.

Note: Due to the compact nature of the catamaran cover, the locations of the internal components have been defined and must be strictly followed to avoid unwanted interference.

Before permanently fastening/epoxying a part, refer to the master CAD assembly to ensure spacing is correct.

  • Outer Enclosure
  1. Once all the fibreglass parts have been made, label each part with masking tape.

  2. Check to see if sizing is correct and that edges, corners and faces line up as intended.

  3. BB & RE Side Walls (Refer to master CAD)

    1. Mark locations of all ribs, cam covers and wall brackets with masking tape.

  1. BB & RE Bottoms (Refer to master CAD)

    1. Mark locations of all ribs and cam covers with masking tape.

  • Lid Latches
  1. Set latches to the correct orientation for opening/closing. Make sure they are not too loose or tight

  2. Secure the latches to the lid with rubber washers on both sides.

  3. Test opening/closing with a flathead screw

  • Fan Holders
  1. Place fan on the base with the intake side angled downwards and align holes.

  2. Secure the fan to the base with screws from the underside.

  • Heat Set Mount
