Back in the Winter 2021 term, our team, on behalf of 5 other SSDC teams, submitted a funding application for a pick-and-place machine for university-wide use. We received $11,000 CAD in funding from the University to put towards a machine of our choice.

Towards the end of the Winter 2021 term, we reached out to Neoden to discuss potential sponsorship opportunities. At the start of July, we confirmed an in-kind sponsorship for the Neoden 4 pick and place machine. We’ll receive a $6000 USD discount, which will be subtracted from the original price of $11,999 USD. We will be responsible for purchasing additional feeders and will need to cover shipping, tax, brokerage and certifications fees.

Timeline

The machine will be in stock in August and we are set to receive it by the end of that month. We’re hoping to finalize as many of these logistics by the end of the term, in time for the machine’s arrival.
