Notes:

-Changed the design to improve its strength and manufacturability.

-May need to add counterbores for the screw holes.

-(11-23-2023) Reduced the thickness of the base and fillets in order to fix a clearance issue

Material: 6061-T6 Aluminum, Yield Strength: 2.750E8 N/m^2.

Fixtures:

On flat faces to restrict planar movement

 

Interactions:

These virtual walls represent where the mount contacts the floor and screws respectively

 

Loading:

1.3 kN directed 6.9 degrees below the horizontal but multiplied by 2 as a safety factor

Results:

Note: Reducing the thickness of the base moved the point of least stress from the base to the corner of the mount

Next Steps: Can probably cut off chunks of material in order to reduce weight
