Meeting with Clarke Vandenhoven

We met with a Midnight Sun Alumni to review our modules designs from the module design sprint. Here are recordings of the meeting.

General Takeaways:

  • Use Hex configuration for cells, they allow more surface area of the cells to be cooled by active cooling

  • Don’t create air channels in the cell layout as that lets more of the air to move through the module without carrying away as much hot air

  • We should start manufacturing and testing before thinking of a bunch of thermal solutions, as we don’t know yet how big of an issue thermals will be. Prototyping will reveal to us a bunch more problems to work on.
