Steering Column Upper (Female)
Steering Column Upper (Female)
Instructions for welding of the upper column.
Context
The steering column upper (F) is made up of two separate parts, one of which is actually called “steering column upper (F)” coming from a machine shop, and the other component is the shaft nub that is used to attach the column to the u-joint.
Welding
Cut a piece of the shaft to 45mm for the nub.
~15mm of the nub will be inside the column for welding.
There is no jig currently designed for the operation, it’s assumed the operation is simple enough
The two parts are designed to be slide fit.
