After both boards were soldered, jumpers were soldered between both boards:
Powering on the board
Before connecting the board to a PSU, I highly recommend rotating R5 (brightness pot) all the way to the left (counter clockwise). This is so that the LEDs aren’t on max brightness once the board is turned on.
I then connected the board to a PSU through P1 using the appropriate molex plug and powered it on using 13.5 V, 0.8 A current limit. I was then able to control the brightness of the LEDs as shown:
