HV Wiring and Shielding

In MSXII, we used shielded wire for the 2AWG orange wires connecting between battery boxes, but the shield was never connected, even though the cable was shielded. Here’s Taiping’s explanation as to why we never worried about shielding:

“Shielding was not implemented for a few reasons: 1. The connectors did not support shielding 2. Through testing we determined that the radiated noise from the harness was minimal and did not affect CAN or anything else in the car. The only issues we had were with the original driver controls and once that was replaced we haven't seen any known EMC issues with the vehicle.

You should be shielding HV wires to HV_GND. That way a short at the shield cannot cause an isolation fault between battery and chassis
