Sponsorship Appreciation / Case Studies
Sponsorship appreciation blogs are published to publicly acknowledge our sponsors and thank them for the support they have given us.
Steps:
- Collect Content + Write post
- media (videos or images) of the team utilizing the sponsored product(s) → (NOTE : if a monetary sponsorship, capture media of what the money has been put towards. e.g. if we used the money to purchase raw materials)
- Introductory description of the sponsor
- Overview of what they donated and how it has helped the team
- Thank you message
- Review
- Find at least two business team members to review the post and follow-up with a marketing lead
- Publish
- Once approved, create a new blog post on our website through Squarespace
- Add media + captions as necessary
- Publish + let Queenie know before you publish so that she can prepare social media posts to increase awareness!
Subteam Updates
Subteam updates let sponsors know the progress of the solar car. To get write a subteam update post,
- Interview the subteam lead(s) and members about what is being worked on and/or get a written outline.
- Possible things to focus on:
- Accomplishments
- Use of sponsorship materials
- Any challenges the subteam came across, and what they did to overcome them
- Next steps
- Write the blog post!
- Take/Find relevant photos to include
- Find people to edit the post, and confirm with the lead that all information is accurate
- Post the post!
- Create a new blog post on Squarespace and copy/paste the text
- Add the photos + captions where necessary
- Publish + let Queenie know before you publish so that she can prepare social media posts to increase awareness!
- Possible things to focus on:
Opinion Pieces
- This blog piece may seem confusing so feel free to speak to a Marketing Lead to give you a rundown!
- Brainstorm possible topics to interview leads/members (e.g. are solar cars the future of transportation?)
- Don't be afraid to ask the rest of the team for ideas!
- Research + Interviews
- Connect with other people from different faculties to get different perspectives
- Collect relevant media (images, videos, etc.)
- Online research (make sure to source anything found online!)
- Write!
- Review
- Find people to edit the post, and confirm with the lead that all information is accurate
- Publish
- Create a new blog post on Squarespace & add your text/media
