Inputs through Google Forms

  • !!! Google forms to input money in through Endowment Funds, Sponsorships, and money out on spending

    • Can this be condensed to one master form that can handle everything?

      • Would need more IF functions for the sheets to be able to handle extra layer of sorting?

    • Add a way to edit the responses without going into the response sheet?

      • Maybe needing to wade into the jungle of Excel is an apt punishment for messing up your finances!

    • Add a line in the forms to ask who bought it and who’s approved it

      • Drop down with all the leads (with an other)

      • Currently using Concatenate function in excel, need to add commas/spaces between so it is readable

        • ConcatIF? Other functions can take data from columns that match specification (proposal #)

    • Macros needed to ‘pull down’ spreadsheet when form response is put in

      • Currently, if the sheet calls for a cell in a response sheet and a response is submitted, excel ‘helpfully’ makes all the called cells shift down by 1

      • I don’t know how to program in javascript

        • Either I learn how to do that the right way, I get someone else to do it, or I try to MacGyver some macro code off of google until it works just enough

    • ! For Endowment Funds (or sponsorships) that require money spent on specific things, raise flag when incorrectly spent

      • Flag if subcategory isn’t matching?

      • Flag unless purchase description words match?

        • What percent need to match? 50%, 70%?

  • Hide ‘data’ sheets (where form responses get tracked)

    • Consolidate information into one sheet each for Endowment Funds, Sponsorships and General Spending (?), as well as one master Budget sheet

  • What can Wave do? We can probably copy a lot of it on our own

  • Coalesce data into one master sheet

    • Pie charts?

    • Needs to produce something to make budget reports easy?
