Slack Etiquette

Good practices to follow to make sure our Slack stays clean and readable:

  1. Post in public channels > limit group chats, DMs, and private channels as much as possible

  2. POST POST POST - keep a consistent communication across channels

  3. Reply in thread to keep organization

  4. Send replies in thread to the channel if it is important

  5. Keep each message/thread to one topic > this makes convos easy to read

  6. Add edits/updated to the thread

  7. Don’t @/channel unless absolutely necessary
