Slack Etiquette
Good practices to follow to make sure our Slack stays clean and readable:
Post in public channels > limit group chats, DMs, and private channels as much as possible
POST POST POST - keep a consistent communication across channels
Reply in thread to keep organization
Send replies in thread to the channel if it is important
Keep each message/thread to one topic > this makes convos easy to read
Add edits/updated to the thread
Don’t @/channel unless absolutely necessary
Team Roles
Project Leads
Role: Will be the lead/point of contact for the specific project + working member for their project
Responsibilities:
Work on the assigned project + tasks
Keep up with the project timeline to complete tasks by the deadlines
Communicate with Jenna of the progress
Communicate with working members of tasks needed to be completed
Is this role a fit?
Can serve as the person of contact and knowledge for the given project
Technically understands the project at hand
Willing to communicate progress with everyone
Working Member
Role: A flexible position for members to gain technical knowledge and to complete tasks
Responsibilities:
Support the project lead and work on the assigned tasks
Communicate with project lead about task progress
Is this role a fit?
Gain technical knowledge of the project
Not as much of a time commitment
