More detailed summary of regs. Finding what section of regs are relevant for dynamics and, where possible, quantify the requirements. For example, minimum turning radius, max shock travel, and loading conditions.

Look through https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-bWkNHVTJY1twCAHPgSCfQ/videos to find and summarize his videos on vehicle dynamics. I would stick to the English ones myself.

Make the following calculators either by a MatLab script or an excel spreadsheet:

  • Load Transfer (for combined braking and turning)

    • Some variables:

      • Wheelbase

      • Track

      • Mass

      • CG Location (x, y, z)

      • Brake Acceleration

      • Turning Acceleration

    • Extension

      • Make it include weight transfer do due the movement from the suspension

  • CG Estimator (falls in with weight budget; use MSXII as an example)

Weight Budget

Figure out approximate locations of some of the main masses in the car and approximate the location of the CG

Material Analysis

Is 4130 the best for suspension parts? Can we use forge carbon fiber anywhere?

Part Finishing

How should we finish our parts? What procedure should we follow when we receive parts to avoid corrosion?

Weight Transfer from Steering

How much can we expect the CG to move when the car rolls in a turn? No exact answers, only approximations.
