A challenger vehicle might not draw as much current, so the current sense amplifier should have a different gain. Also, it might be better to use a Hall effect sensor to reduce power consumption.

Consider instrumentation amplifier rather than differential amplifier?
Filtering for the current sense amplifier? Common mode vs. differential mode
Integrated current sense ICs? Not sure if they perform better

Has an internal switch to disconnect the signal from the rest of the circuit
