1. Measurement of Resistance

  • Resistance measured between battery terminals and any portion of the solar car chassis shall be greater than the 1MΩ, for applied potential up to 500V

2. Mounting

  • Cover should be secured to the chassis to prevent the battery / modules from coming loose from events like accident / rollover

    • Can test this by attaching cover to the chassis and roll it physically

    • Test shear strength of epoxy bond with wall and bracket

  • Load/bend test with fibreglass

3. Securing battery

  • Heat set insert test with polycarbonate

  • Strength test with heat set mount

  • Loading test with securing and wall brackets (2.75 kg)
