What is noise/Intro to noise
Electric noise is a disturbance in an electric that causes changes in voltage or current, typically causing a small increase in the measured voltage or current. These are typically random and can be difficult to predict.
Types of Noise
Thermal Noise - Noise directly associated with the flow of electrons. Affected by temperature and resistance. Additionally, the range of frequencies will also have an effect of the amount of thermal noise
Flicker Noise - This is still a researched topic but it is also related to the frequencies of the components in the circuit
Shot Noise - Random motion caused by electron movement (unavoidable)
Known ways to reduce noise
Use shielded cables
Try to shield small components
Ground signal wiring to a common point
