MS XIV features 2 large electronic enclosures (the battery box and the rear enclosure) that are mounted on-top of the catamaran within the interior space. Interiors is tasked with designing a cover/multiple covers that will protects protect the occupants from contact with these electrical components. The interiors team will be designing a cover/multiple covers that will cover the battery box and rear enclosure. The cover serves 2 main purposes:
The interiors team will be responsible for determining the location of the battery box and rear enclosure within the car as well as the design of the actual cover. The catamaran cover team will be working closely with the aero-chassis team and the electrical integration team to develop a solution. |
