Assigning and Naming
For any new or revised components:
Add them to the MSXV Master BOM
Assign a part number (the next available one in the BOM) and add a descriptive name
Name the CAD properly: Part No. Part_Name (e.g. XV-BAT1000 Crossbar_Jig)
Keep updated (active/inactive and in progress/released)
For example: if making a jigging component for the enclosure, a properly named part would be: XV-BAT1000 Crossbar_Jig. After assigning the part no. and name in the master BOM, the CAD would also be under the same name. If any major revisions are made, a new part number is assigned and Rev_# is added to the part name, like XV-BAT1010 Crossbar_Jig_Rev_2.
