  • Timeline for Design Challenge / Training (2 months - finishing during Reading Week)

Preliminary Mech Milestones and Tentative Dates

List of Milestones:

  • Research End Date (transition into design phase) - End of March 2022 (3months)

  • Research-Design Transition Phase - Between April - Start in May 2022 (1month)

    • Will this include selection of materials for large systems (e.g. chassis tubes, body shape, etc.)?

  • Mech Design Freeze (For detailed milestones, specify subteam design freezes, manufacturing freeze) (Start of May 2022 - End of Dec 2022) (8 months)

    • To stagger design freezes for each subteam

  • Start Chassis Process (2 months of SI + 4 months start to finish) - End of Dec 2022/Beginning of Jan 2023

  • Start Aero Panels (start after Aerobody design freeze)

  • End Welded Chassis (end of 4 months + 1 month Powder Coating) - End ofJuly 2023

  • All Dynamics Components in-House - End Aug 2023

  • Rolling Chassis - End Sept 2023 (question)

  • Battery Modules Completed

  • End of Aero Panels Manufacturing - End Sept 2023

  • Aero-Chassis Integration - Start after Design freeze of Aerobody and chassis - End of Oct/Nov 2023
