  • everything in purple we basically need to see on the dash

  • kill switch = red button - something's going wrong, stop the car button

  • p indicator switch = parking indicator switch

    • ignore this, doesn't affect dash

  • there should be a power switch, but not currently on diagram

  • P LED = indicates we're in park

  • already purchased D, N, R, (can’t remember if there was another button they already have - Renzo Villanoy do you remember which other one they said ?? if not, will ask again)

  • fan control: knobs you can turn to certain point and it clicks on

    • needs to be accessible on the dash for driver and passenger - will be circular holes on the dash for the knobs to poke through

  • AUX, Race/Normal

    • Race mode will turn off infotainment - does not need to be super accessible

      • switching between race/normal ideally similar to switching between eco and non eco mode

    • VEH CAN --> DB9

    • Pi USB --> Type A

    • USB C charger output --> USB C

  • Fault LED --> when that LED is on, activates something outside and also on top of car

  • Fans 1-4 will be mounted on the dash and wiring will run through on the inside

    • fans on old car look similar to ones on a real car - direction control and stuff

    • only fan control needs to be on rn

  • all blue squares are enclosures and all red boxes are connectors which need to fit on enclosures

    • driver display area, infotainment display area easily accessible

  • front electronics enclosure should be accessible but does not need to be EASILY accessible - ie could be unscrewed or smth - don't want it to be a big box like old car

  • there will be slits on the front of the car which will be connected to the fans so there will always be airflow

  • driver display area has 4 screens --> all connects to the steering wheel

    • driver display area should be parallel to driver

  • pedal board enclosure should be waterproof

  • can ignore side lights box

  • kill switch should be flush with car, just needs opening, should not be easily pressed

  • (front driver, front passenger) side misc. --> adrian has ideas for it already, talk to adrian about it

  • basically: we're taking care of pedal board enclosure, front electronics enclosure, infotainment display area, driver display area

    • The dcdc convertor in rear

    ...

    • The auxiliary at the front there will also be a pedal board

    ...

    • Biggest preference if anything has to be taken out it can all be taken out (mounts are designed by electrical team)

    ...

    • Steering wheel

    ...

    • New clockspring

    ...

    • fit into the old steering wheel (is it possible to reuse the old wheel)

    ...

    • reuse the stalk

    ...

    • still need a custom wheel part and attach to the stalk

    ...

    • board with button is in grad cad (steering wheel interface)

    ...

    • horn: is it separate another button through the center (just has to be on the wheel) free placement on the wheel (center is best) which button is up to interiors (5/6/7cm diameter button)

    ...

    • might need something a bit smaller

    ...

    • horn input to steering interface board (separate button)

    ...

    • radio push steering interface board

      • (separate enclosure) wiring to them

      • Considered where to place any of the boards (boards will be placed around internal structure of the dash

      ...

      • Parking brake lever is mounted around the driver

      ...

      • Are we expecting to have any interior lighting? (not really)

      ...

      • Ventilation slits in the front of the car for air (still happening not sure where aero has decided to put the cut and routed  to the fans using ventilation tubes)

      ...

      • Must be air intake from outside (re-read regs)

      ...

      • Pedal enclosure will need another enclosure near there

      ...

      • CAN debug will also want another

      ...

      • enclosure

      ...

      Image Added

        ...

        • Where we can put central console

        ...

        • Closure switches have shorter routing

        • Something else that should probably be mentioned that we didn’t get a chance to talk about is that there needs to be an additional space somewhere behind or adjescent to the driver display to have a raspberry pi with a few peripherals attached to both control driver display and host our telemtry communications - just something to keep in mind
